Student Organizations


Students grow both personally and professionally through participation and leadership in student organizations. More interest groups continue to form and any student may officially start a new organization through the Student Bar Association (SBA). The active organizations are as follows:

 

Alternative Dispute Resolution

Dedicated to the promotion and use of alternative means to litigation to manage and resolve disputes.

Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA)

The purpose of this organization is to foster the academic, social, and professional growth of its members by sponsoring legal scholarship activities, social events, and community service.

Black Law Students Association (BLSA)

The Black Law Students Association is committed to promoting diversity in the legal profession.

Cashflow Club

The Cashflow Club is designed to improve the financial literacy of students and professionals.

Delta Theta Phi (DTP) - PSL Chapter

As the nation's premier law fraternity, Delta Theta Phi has initiated more than 136,000 members across the country and in several other nations. Many of its members are distinguished persons in government, business, international affairs, on the judiciary, and in the general practice of law.

DTP provides a forum for students, lawyers, and other members to network, exchange ideas and knowledge, and create lifelong professional affiliations and personal friendships.

The IP Law Society provides interested students with opportunities in the field of intellectual property law (Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Trade Secrets, etc.)- through instruction, networking, speakers, and hands-on experience.

International Law Society

The International Law Society student organization provides students with expert speakers on a variety of topics related to international law.

J. Reuben Clark Jr. Law Society

We affirm the strength brought to the law by a lawyer's personal religious conviction. We strive through public service and professional excellence to promote fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law.

Justice for All

Phoenix Law’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered Student Organization

Juvenile Law Society

JLS is a group of students committed to promoting awareness about issues in Juvenile law, both dependency and delinquency, and promoting student involvement.

Justice Project

The Phoenix Law Justice Project is a club of student volunteers who donate their time to assisting with various tasks as assigned by the Arizona Justice Project, including but not limited to: research, investigation, client contacts (including interviews at jails), and the screening of cases to help ensure that Arizona's prisons are not housing those actually innocent of crime or are otherwise victims of manifest injustice. Also, student volunteers are invited to assist with local conferences and meetings, and are able to observe or work side by side with attorneys who have taken on Justice Project cases.


We host networking events and speakers at Phoenix School of Law. Each club meeting contains an education element pertaining to Justice Project work.

Legal Aid Work for the Protection of Animal Welfare Society (LAWPAWS)

LAWPAWS is dedicated to raising the profile of the field of animal law and to educating people about forms of animal abuse, as well as to engaging in projects that combat abuse.

Moot Court

The Phoenix School of Law Moot Court Program represents the highest level of written and oral advocacy of the law school and provides students with opportunities to practice skills of speaking, advocacy, and critical thinking.

Parents Attending Law School (PALS)

Support group and student organization for students at PSL who have or are considering having children. Open to everyone.

The mission of the Phoenix Law Review is to publish a progressive, high quality law review that engages the legal community in discussion and debate of current legal and policy issues.

PhoenixLaw Women’s Association

Promoting and encouraging the success of future women lawyers by providing members with information and support by fostering connections among female students and the legal community.

Public Interest Law Project

The Public Interest Law Project (PILP) is committed to assisting underserved communities through community service and legal intervention.

Real Estate Club

The Real Estate Club's purpose is to educate the next generation of real estate attorneys by exploring topics ranging from litigation to transactional work. REC provides students with opportunities in the field of real estate law- through instruction, networking, speakers, and hands-on experience.
