Foreign Students
If you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and would like to enroll at Phoenix School of Law you need to know the following information:
- Applicants will not be considered for admission until the following items are received by the application deadline: February 1 for Fall, and June 1 for Spring. Applications submitted after these dates will be considered on a space-available basis.
- The following items are required in order to
be considered for admission into Phoenix School of Law as a foreign student:
- Application
- Personal Statement
- Two letters of recommendation, in English or in translation from an academic or professional reference
- Resume
- A photocopy of your current valid biographical passport page and that of any dependents (spouse or children) you would be bringing with you.
- LSAT score
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL) score
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) official test scores are required for all international applicants. This requirement may be waived if a student has earned a law degree in a country where English is the official language or has earned a degree from an accredited US college/university.
- The TOEFL code for Phoenix School of Law is 6697. Please use this code number when indicating your institution as a score recipient. Scores will be sent to us directly from Educational Testing Service.
- The law school accepts TOEFL scores for up to two (2) years after the test administration. Original scores must be sent directly from Educational Testing Services to the Phoenix School of Law, Admissions Office in order for the scores to be valid. An application will not be complete and ready for review until the law school receives the official score report.
- To be admitted into a degree program, international applicants must have a high level of English proficiency, as demonstrated by a sufficient TOEFL score. For more information on test taking locations, please contact the following agency:

- Certified copies of all transcripts must be
evaluated by LSAC's Credential Assembly Service
- In order to evaluate all applicants on a uniform basis, we require all international applicants to have their international transcripts/grade reports evaluated by an independent company. Phoenix School of Law requires that prospective students use the services of LSAC.
- LSAC offers a credential assembly service that collects, authenticates, evaluates, and distributes all transcripts and TOEFL scores to each law school where the applicant submits an application. Your transcripts will be translated into English as well as provide us with your US grade equivalency.
- Once you have matriculated at our school, LSAC will provide us with your certified transcripts.
